Layers

It’s all about Layers. If you have been using layers to organize the various parts of your Photoshop creations, you are a huge step closer to being able to comfortably use SiteGrinder as a powerful web design facilitator.

Build your site the way you want, graphically with Photoshop. Use Layers to organize your content, then use SiteGrinder to Build it and Deploy it. When you Build, a Design Manager is available in your default browser to preview the site and make some adjustments. When you Deploy your site, Content Manager  takes over and allows you to make all kinds of changes from within that browser. Any time you want to go back to tweak design areas (like background colors and other graphic items), go to Photoshop. Content can be taken care of in the Content Manager... then sent up either to the Internet server, or viewed locally.

Be prepared to spend some quality time watching the intro videos and going through all the help resources on the SiteGrinder website. Take your time to let it sink in. If you have been a Photoshop user and never done a web site, you will add a whole new way of thinking to your skills. If you are a current web designer interested in a wonderful new tool, you will find yourself changing your way of thinking on many levels. Be patient and enjoy.
