Once you have your main design worked out in Photoshop and your text areas set up, changing or adding content can be done from within a normal web page setting.
Sending up your pages: If you have your FTP information, your pages can be sent up with the Upload button. Click Connection Settings to fill in the information and set it up. Once you have it, you can click Upload Changes if you only need to synchronize the files on the site with what you have on your computer, or Upload Everything if you want to overwrite everything on the server with what you have on your computer. It is all very straightforward.
Ok I'm just having fun today: 2010-04-08 16:51:59
Spent 5 whole minutes changing 2 layers on the Photoshop file, then "built and deployed" it with the new background colors. Another 5 minutes (by the time I have this text added) I'll send it up with the new changes.
Another interesting feature: 2010-04-07 20:10:11
I have been adding content with the Content Manager and when viewing the completed pages, decided I wasn't happy with the top left logo/title on the pages. The heart and text looked a little washed out and I just wasn't happy with the quality of the images. So I went back to Photoshop, Clicked the word File, then Automate and SiteGrinder 3. Under the compression tab I found those images and changed the quality to PNG-24. They really pop now. I re-deployed the site (apparently you can do this every 5 minutes if you need to) and chose to Keep Any Content Manager Edits so I wouldn't lose text like this... and then uploaded the site again from the Content Manager... everything is great! I am loving this!

It is great the way SiteGrinder separates Content and Design. You do all your design work in Photoshop and pretty much create content placeholders. Then once you are satisfied with the general design and layout, you can use the Content Manager to make minor (and not so minor) changes and additions to your pages.
From what I am reading, anyone is supposed to be able to add content to the editable regions of a page/site using their own browser. I'm not there yet because I am still thrashing many of the general layout issues I want to resolve and tweak on this playground site. But I will get to it soon. Right now I am updating this page using the Content Manager. Then I will use the same content manager to upload (send) the changed files up to the folder on mrswizard.com for this mini site. That didn't take long to learn and do today. As I have mentioned, the SiteGrinder site has all the information I need at my fingertips.
